Hadley had her 18 months check up today. We still can't hit 22 lbs. with this girl! Weight 21.4 oz, and 32 1/4 inches for height.

I have never given Kendra the flu shot. I got one last year for the "regular" flu--first one I ever got in my life. About six months after I got it, I got sicker than I have been in a really long time. Took me out for almost a whole week. They said it wasn't flu, but it makes me wonder if my immunity was compromised by taking the shot six months prior. Didn't do the shot this year for either of us.
We've never had flu shots, and we've never had a bad case of the flu, either. I'm right there behind you on the guilty mommy list! I'm sticking to what works for my family.
We don't do flu shots- we are mostly hermits and so I feel that our exposure to germs are limited (now I realize you can be exposed to sickness before the carrier even has symptoms) and at home I can control the environment. Maybe if I had a dozen kids and all of them were in school and a bizzilion school activities etc. Michael got a fly shot for himself when I was pregnant with Luke because we didn't want him bringing anything home- but he got sick flu like symptoms anyhow. So we opt out on ghe flu shots. And I have never had anyone at our dr. office give me any grief or guilt trip, and I've never had to sign anything.
I know when I worked at Belk, the ones that got the flu shot got so sick, I made it through the year without getting sick and without the flu shot.
