- Arrange strips into a pattern, and then fold the middle section of each one.
Use an alligator clip to hold all those folded middles together. I can only hold four folded ribbons at a time, so I put mine in groups of 4.
Let the alligator clip hold all your folded middles for you.
Use a wire or string to secure the middle. For this one I used a sandwich bag tie.
For this kind of bow, I prefer wire/sandwich tie.
Wrap wire around the center. Use a 6" strip of ribbon to cover up the wire. Normally, I would use satin or grosgrain in the middle, since the organza is see-through. I didn't have any that matched, so I just tied a knot in the grosgrain, and that seemed to disguise the wire enough for my liking. Trim all your edges at an angle & set the edges.
Supplies:
small bow: 2 different colors of of 5/8" organza ribbon
large bow: 2 different colors of 7/8" organza ribbon
6" coordinating ribbon for middle
4 alligator clips
hot glue gun

Thanks for the TUT, question for you does the fray check change the color at the ends of the ribbon. I have found that problem on some other ribbon. Thank you again.

richngwen - Good point about the fray chek. I used this before with no problem, however, recently I made a few of these organza bows that just turned out awful with fray chek. I think I had cut the tip of this new bottle too low, so a lot came out & really left globs of dried glue on the ends. It was very noticeable, and I had to trim each edge off.
